The senate is elected by state wide votes and the president is elected by electoral college votes decided by a state wide vote. The senate is set up by states so low population states have the same votes as large population states. This means that Democrats MUST start getting the message out to the lower population states.
If the post was left it at voter suppression I would be on this in a second.

I believe the situation we're in demonstrates the lifetime appointment rule is seriously flawed.
