Though when we were discussing activities folks could get involved in, I made a point of saying that I worked on my congressman's campaign - and met others I knew there, too!
As for my long timer friend, she's not retired yet, but I have no doubt she saves everything. She's actually quite clever and really enjoys making things - she makes elaborate cards that she sells and at Easter she made thoughtful baskets for several friends, including me!
And her Dad is still living, she's currently visiting him in Florida - he's 98 1/2.
