Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...
How many legislators wear a cross on their lapel? I would bet that at least some legislators who are practicing Roman Catholics have a rosary somewhere on their person. The word is (I have NOT personally checked this) that George Romney wears special Mormon underwear.
We have more Christian sects (denominations) than I can count, several forms of Judaism, a couple of different forms of Muslim, Taoists, Buddhists, and on and on. Plus Agnostics and Atheists. And, of course, the flying spaghetti monster.
I have no idea what judges wear under their robes.
As long as our legislators uphold their oath of office to 'protect and defend the Constitution' rather than 'protect and defend my religion' I don't care what religion they are or what they wear to the office, so long as it is office appropriate.
