I actually enjoyed regular Wednesday and Friday nights, when my money pressed parents always made sure that we had special treats after supper, the togetherness felt better than the rat race of the Christmas season, with the commercialism of it all.

Get a small xmass tree. A real one. They come with a stand. Buy some tiny little lights. Decorate it
