(47,432 posts)What is holding him back for changing his registration? According to DUers from Vermont, he does run as a Democrat in the primaries and then changes affiliation.
If this is just a label, why not open the primaries so that RWers can vote and run as Democrats?
Why not have, say, the Turtle declares that he is a Democrat and run in his state if he thinks that his seat is in jeopardy?
The voters are clueless. It will be name recognition and he will be the new Democrat from Kentucky, beating someone good, earnest candidate who worked the state. And then, of course, he can change or just vote with the Republicans.
And, it appears that you are not bothered by him actively campaigning against Democratic candidates.
And, apparently, it does not bother you that he wished for "someone" to primary challenge Obama in 2012.
He is worse than DINO. DINOs have principles that, apparently do not lock with yours but my opinion that they have important role in the party. Not everyone is, or - shrug - should, be far left. That is, if we want to preserve the party.
