5. If a tree fell in the woods, and nobody was there to listen, would it still make a sound?

While it's true that the country is in dire need of civics lessons, having either of these individuals giving them would be "preaching to the choir." The people who most need civics lessons are not watching Rachel or Lawrence. Most of their viewership already understands how the government works. The ones who need it the most would never listen to either of them, anyway, even if those lessons manage to spread beyond the MSNBC audience. The civics lessons need to come from someone who will reach a wider audience, and who are more likely to keep the attention of right-wingers. I makes me sick to have to say this, but it is going to have to come from some right-winger who hasn't completely gone over to the Dark Side, like (I'm assuming) Kindasleazzzy Rice or Clint Eastwood to get people to pay attention. Or, some retired general/admiral. Or, maybe Chief Justice Roberts. Perhaps if they also aired Rachel/Lawrence on network NBC, they'd reach a much wider audience. It needs to be seen by A LOT more than just their audience.
