On MSNBC, Steve Kondracke was doing a "Big Board" bit on the unreliability of early polls, showing who the leaders were in years past, few of whom ended up the nominee.

For example, if we believed polls this early before the 2004 election, we'd be girding our loins for a Joe Lieberman presidency.
