All of it is important, but the last point is particularly crucial. MrScorpio, I dont have any way to step into your shoes. The only thing I can do is listen. It was a shock for me to realize that not everyone had the same experience of the world that I do. I have tried to explain white male privilege as, women and anyone whos not white has to deal with a whole lot of shit that I dont. But not having to deal with it makes me blind to it. My only realistic option is to listen.
The day that anyone who isnt white, male, and straight can point to me and say, he has no more privilege than me will be the first day I think its true. Its just not a judgement I can make without someone elses perspective.
