when considering granting security access, susceptibility to blackmail and worse, willingness to pay blackmail, is one of the biggest disqualifying things they could find. merely doing things that might make you vulnerable to blackmail is a giant red flag.

donnie not only repeatedly puts himself in those situations, but in fact has actually *paid* what might as well be blackmail (it's not actually blackmail because stormy did her side of it properly and legally, but for national security purposes, what donnie did in paying her was exactly the same as paying blackmail to keep an embarrassing secret quiet.

there's no way someone like this should be trusted with even low-level national secrets, never mind handing him the nuclear button.


yeah, there's the whole russian thing, too, but you don't need to dig that deep to know he's a "serious threat to us national security".
