Brexit holds within it the hollow lies that Trump uses here. False promises of security and financial gains offered to disguise the demolition of genuine governance.

The conservatives lied when they took government on the back of the Leave Referendum results. They have lied throughout about the so-called benefits of leaving. When their own ministries reported in substantial detail the ruinous real effects of any version of Brexit, the Tories and sadly much of Labour denied the truth and continued to argue for Brexit. When anyone has asked the obvious about a 2nd referendum they are derisively shouted down as unpatriotic and lacking respect for the holy grail of Referendum 1.

6 million people signed a government provided petition to say they wanted a 2nd referendum. Although the law requires it to be brought before Parliament no-one has done so and the Neo-Thatcherites supporting May deny that it holds any value. They are 6 million UK citizens not some FOX news survey.

Putin along with Murdoch enabled if not arranged this nightmare. May cannot admit that her own chrished "deal" is politically unsupportable and literally unworkable.

Woe to those who refuse to listen to the 6 million regarding sense and sensibility. They may yet hang from a traitor's gibbet.
