The abortion bans are about forcing women to have children so they must remain out of the work force. Most studies show that one of the major disparities for women's pay over the long-term is because women take time out to care for children.

I'm vastly oversimplifying the facts here but what happens is, women who take time out of their jobs to have and raise kids lose valuable experience/time on important, high-visibility projects, etc. that the men get in their place. The men get the experience and the face-time and the accolades because they are able to stay in the office and work.

The idea the GOP has is to force child-bearing and child-raising upon women (child-raising because day-care is often more expensive than what the woman can earn so they stay home). Between these two things it takes women out of the workforce. They become economically dependent upon men. That's whole idea make women subordinate to the master of the house.

Sadly, I think that's their plan ... to overturn civil rights as much as they can. They are RKP5637 May 2019 #1
