16. Seriously, those poor and lazy folk are a real burden.

Insane, isn't it? What man or woman would not choose to have a job that paid a living wage and be able to be proud to support him or herself and a family? ... vs. being looked at like some junkyard rat and judged as a burden and a waste? People who assume those living on welfare or social aid, or whatever, make me so tired. I wonder if they've ever listened to grandparents or elderly people tell of the suicides and all the other tragedies during the dirty thirties. There but for the grace of God / Luck / Whatever, go I. We seem to be losing our ability for empathy and compassion more every day, and that is scarier than shit.
