(6,423 posts)The problem is too many humans and using a bell shaped curve it would mean that a ton of humans walking this earth are below average, and if you give all opinions an equal say and an equal chance to make up their own minds with that equal say, we might wind up this way?
Of course there are voting standards, but just 18 years old & citizen is that really enough? Vote in a representative for you, but forgetting that ultimately they really represent us all!
Add to that people who want to keep the status quo, no matter how awful it is for others.
Add to that... we could go on and on and on, but the loudest most obnoxious is winning?
Now what?
Roy Moore again? Sharon Angell again? Other piss poor excuses for candidates, because the process itself scars/scares many who might otherwise consider it?
Yeah, some of us have noticed, I'm "shirley" not alone in this?
A retired brain surgeon is running H.U.D. ffs and everything I have seen points to the man being impaired.
Silver lining, the flaws in our system have been exposed, now wth are we the people going to do about it?
I'll never live another 50 years to see the real outcome, that's how slow we are, meanwhile you OK with that many old folks deciding the future they won't have to endure?
Still worried about abortions; that should have been settled never to be unsettled again law, you don't like it, don't have one, you don't give 2 cents about us once born, in America, you are now on your own at 1 sec old, oh lucky, this one has caring parents with healthcare, oops sorry you don't, you might not get the care you need to see day 2.
Our world, just like this post, a mess, good luck, we need it.
