10. Here in Germany, there are constant documentaries on Hitler and the Nazis

The German government wants the population to never forget what happened, why it happened, and for the people to understand it must never happen again, especially here.

My father-in-law, who was taken off his farm at age 17 to be cannon fodder at Stalingrad, was always silent about his war experiences (he got a leg blown off in -40° temperatures, and returned home a cripple at age 18). But whenever an image of Hitler appeared on TV, his face would grow stony and his jaw would ripple in anger. There is a building across the street from us that the Gestapo used during the war. It is now the Anne Frank Elementary School, and both my daughters went there. Never forget.
