9. Hmmm. McCarthy - "witch hunt" - Roy Cohn - Trump - red-baiting - lies

This seems to have some real echoes from the 1950s.

The playbook is the same. Roy Cohn was counsel to McCarthy during his rat-fucked campaign to impugn government employees, especially the Dept. of State.

Dotard Trump used Cohn as a personal lawyer and apparently learned how to rat-fuck from him. (Stone being a Cohn wannabee.)

Many of the same techniques used to spread lies and propagandize as were used by the Russians and the Nazis.

Maybe "America" was never a clean shining citadel and a beacon to the rest of the world, but we've descended as far down in the murk as Nixon, Stalin, Hitler, Trump.
