Mayor Castro is well known for the work he has done in San Antonio to move the city forward through a strengthened economy, improved education, and increased energy efficiency. Lynn Buhaug, the wife of a delegate from New Mexico, also commented that Castro’s keynote address will “help move the party and the country forward. Latinos are a huge part of the Democratic Party, and to see them getting this kind of recognition is a great sign of the direction in which Democrats want to take our country.”
