3. I read earlier this year that Texas might gain as many as three seats.

All of them could have been counted as Democratic gains along with about a half-dozen other seats that could flip. However, the one candidate for president that could have assisted with turning Texas blue decided to withdraw. Losing up to ten Congressional seats for a decade is something that will be bewildering when looked at in hindsight. I still think that Biden has a chance of winning Texas in the general election, but I doubt that he has the coattails to help other Texas Democrats.

Meanwhile, the gerrymandering will continue and also affect state Senate and House elections.
