4. Koalas are kind of like sloths

Koalas sleep for 22 hours a day, and are pretty slow movers.

Yeah, you read that right - 22 hours.

They really aren’t up and moving around a whole lot under normal conditions.

For a koala to travel any appreciable distance is absolutely exhausting for them.

There is one thing they are pretty enthusiastic about, which is why chlamydia is epidemic among them.

They can be easily handled by persons familiar with their behavior, and it’s not as if they are going to run away.
