Nobody is trying to install Hillary Clinton as president, which is what undoing the results of the 2016 election would mean. But it's easier for overpaid lazy journalists to repeat that canard than to go to the trouble of correcting it. Also, when Trump and the Republicans complain about "due process," nobody thinks to say that this is an impeachment proceeding, not a criminal trial. Further, any failure of due process came because Trump absolutely refused to participate in the House proceedings, and ordered his underlings and former underlings not to cooperate with the House investigations.
