12. Distillation of the ugliness in the souls of the wealthy

Trump has gathered around himself a coterie of the extremely wealthy. Each day their public utterances give us a window into their nihilistic vision of the world. Mnuchin, Carson, Ross care nothing for the teeming masses—citizen and non-citizen alike.

This is what Jesus spoke when he said “it is easier to pass a camel through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of god...”

I’m not religious, but I’ve always felt that the New Testament carries some important lessons that are rarely paid attention to.
