14. Bit of a brag

When I lived in Tulsa, Westboro Baptist came to town to protest a gay pride parade/picnic being held at a public park. They were cordoned off in a corner of it so I got across from them with two signs - God Is Love and Fred Phelps Is a Wanker. One of the protesters set his sign down and was waiting for traffic to let up so he could walk across the street to me. I'm your average out-of-shape middle age guy now but back then, I was a religious weight-lifter so he got a look at me went back to his crowd and got another guy to come across the street with him. While they were waiting, I took out three torches, looked straight at them, and lit them on fire and began juggling them (my thoughts were, more than anything they hate not getting attention) while locking eyes and smiling at them. They walked back and picked up their signs.

Later on, I helped a guy start questioning the infallibility of the Bible. So all-in-all a good day.
