(2,535 posts)It is comprised of things that you MAY be able to find in the Dollar Store, Walmart, grocery stores, etc or you may have them at home already:
1/3 C of aloe vera gel
2/3 C of AT LEAST 70% isopropyl rubbing alcohol.
Stir the solution and if it is a bit watery you can add a little more aloe. You can buy empty travel bottles at the Dollar Store.
You can add about 15 drops essential oils like lavender, chamomile etc, per bottle.
Shake each bottle well.
Just use a little to wash your hand like you would a sanitizer.
This recipe will leave more of these ingredients to make additional solutions
The CDC says to use AT LEAST 70-99% alcohol because any weaker will not work kill germs. It takes a minute or so to kill germs on your hands
The Aloe is to soften up your hands because alcohol will dry them out. It costs less than a dollar for each bottle
Hope this helps
