A true leader, as Lawrence O'Dpnnell noted last night, would have answered with something along the lines of: "This situation is way too serious to talk about who scored the highest. It's critical that we focus on the virus and ways to mitigate it and keep all our people safe."
A faux leader, a self-centered failure as a man, would take the bait and claim he'd done a perfect job when the entire world knows he stumbled and failed.
So Trump, being an asshole, rated himself a perfect 10 and thus gained the justified derision of the media and the world.

Maybe it's because he lies all the time. Trump NEVER provides proof of any of his declarations.
