Suggests the virus can remain viable in quite small bits of water, that are light enough to remain in the air for some time, unlike the larger droplets ejected by a sneeze of a cough, which are heavy enough to drift down quickly.

The sun is always over the yardarm somewhere, but the suggested procedure, though pleasant, one suspects would not achieve much by way of anti-viral effect.
