Scarcity= higher prices.

To make things even worse, that drop in oil prices means the value of our dollar just dropped...by a LOT.
Because the price of oil is measured in dollars, it's a world currency, and when oil drops in value, so goes the dollar.

Which will increase prices even more.

Now you have to pay $5 for that scarce dozen eggs, plus another 3-5 because the dollar dropped in value.

It's the perfect storm of instant inflation, severely sick population, and more layoffs, esp. gas and oil related biz.
Like gas stations.
