I don't distrust Rachel Maddow, but I am tired, tired, tired of her circling around the point and her repetition, not to mention the way she often acts as if she's breaking some major story and then nothing comes of it. (She briefly shone one day when Trump said women should be 'punished' for having abortions and so she tracked down Hillary and Bernie for their reactions, but then she settled back into her ways).
Lawrence O'Donnell lost me years ago with his Bernie cheerleading and then, during the 2016 election (not primary) he did some story ostensibly criticizing Trump and praising HRC, and mentioned Trump's name at least 100 times and Hillary's three. It was so lopsided I started counting. I am fairly sure he was completely unaware he did this, but it summed up the fascination cable news had with Trump and the unfair amount of attention they gave him.
The only show I watch on a regular basis on MSNBC is Brian Williams. I thought he got a bad rap for having a conflated memory about two events (which is really common), but it's to our benefit, since he now has an hour-long show. Of course, I am on the West Coast, so the timing is good, but he's thoughtful and fair, and lines up really good guests. And, he listens to them and doesn't fold the answer into the questions he asks them the way many hosts do.
