We've seen this time and again in the last 4 years. Chump just makes shit up whenever he can't - or won't - answer a direct question. Any true politician prepares in advance of going in front of reporters, because he realizes that questions will be thrown at him and he has to have something ready. It's called "getting the rap down" which is another way of saying they're prepared for the press conference.
Chump refuses to do that! He just gets frustrated and angry at the questioner, makes up some bullshit and stomps out of the presser. Another tactic is to scream some BS into a microphone while the helicopter blades are revving up, then go jump into the copter and fly off. Nobody could hear what he said but it doesn't matter, he didn't say anything.
I'm beginning to think that part of his problem is difficulty in hearing. Maybe he's going deaf, I don't know. I think he has trouble hearing at least some of the reporters' questions. So he'll just talk about something else entirely unrelated rather than say he didn't hear or understand the question.
