(11,693 posts)I totally agree he is going to try something, but a vaccine by October would be a major flop.
It would not be supported by anything scientific. We are looking to be at more then 200,000 deaths by September, and we are talking about milder weather and more people having to be indoors. Flu Season and Coronavirus together, Unless there is a return to Shelter in Place now, we are going to see continual rise in both new cases, and deaths.
He'd have to introduce the vaccine now, to have any time to see whether it is effective or not. He has very little credibility with anyone outside his craziest followers. His efforts at having massive rallies last week showed that people aren't really trusting him about their safety.
He will definitely try to do something to influence the election like an October surprise, but a vaccine hoax would blow up in his face in my opinion.
