of ability to explore our physical (and mental) worlds. Our abilities to look deeper into the makeup of matter as well as understanding the depths and origins of space and time have increased incredibly in the last 10-20 years.

Many people are afraid of the new - what they don't know and perhaps can't try to learn.

My biggest fear is that these advances in science, medicine will be destroyed by a march back to the middle ages.
