We were way the hell and gone living on O’ahu in the ‘50s and ‘60s, a beautiful place to be sure, but in all seriousness, the only thing to tell us we were Irish besides Mom was the music of the Clancy Brothers. We didn’t even know we looked Irish, which it turns out we surely do.

I had the great good fortune about 10 years ago to take a musical tour of Ireland with Robbie O’Connell’s Celtica Tours. As you probably know, he’s a younger cousin of the Clancy Bros. I hope he and his tour business survive the bad times we are living through, as I’d love to go again someday.

Now there’s a thought to smile on.
