12. Knowing how strict the establishment is in Jamaica

I am not surprised. I have lots of friends who grew up there. Teachers were similar to catholic school teachers here ... punishing kids for dress and speech. Use of corporal punishment for speaking patois, etc. Likely the Supreme Court justices come from the upper class.

Here in Broward county a lot of the Jamaican matrons are very opposed to Rasta- like culture. Working with local Dems in the 2014 campaign was an eye-opener. Many, many liberal Jamaicans opposed legalizing pot even for medical reasons. Part of a culture war they brought here.
