Kimberly Guilfoyle and Gavin Newsom married in 2001, in what appeared to be a promising relationship as political superpowers. But that glitz and glamour tarnished quickly. According to The Washington Post, "the couple seemed to treat each step of their careers, and each other, as a means to an end." Aaron Peskin, a longtime city official, said the high-profile Mr. and Mrs. "felt like they were passing through." That sentiment may be right. 

According to The Washington Post, only three days after Newsom was sworn in as mayor, Guilfoyle flew to New York City to start a new job as a host on a show for Court TV. This was in 2004, and by 2006, they were divorced.
