In reply to the discussion: The reason the GOP is going down is not because of Mitt, it's because of Faux. [View all]Mr Pettibone

"When this election is over, and the Republicans get their asses handed to them on a platter and they realize it is time to rebuild the party, the place they should start with is Faux news. "
Well this would be great for us all, as it would augur a returning to sanity, but I don't see the TP/Republicans realizing any such thing, not now, maybe never. They seem to be on a runaway train, taken over or inextricably influenced by ever increasing screeds and lunacy, flights into disassociated reality, by certain media figures, and we all can guess who they are. As long as their minds are being willingly pumped with this cognitive and emotional poison, nothing is going to change.
It is distressing to have 'lost' several family members to this disease. They will speak normally, but then burst out with this angry, vile, hateful, regurgitated, fact less, unspecific nonsense, they seem to have become possessed. It's weird. They didn't used to be like that, but they are nigh unreachable now. I say this as can be an indicator of how potent and vigorous the poison pumps are. A mere drubbing in an election won't do it -- that would imply logic, and possible concomitant adjustment of beliefs -- not gonna happen, I'm afraid.
