aren't exactly windows to the soul, but that vacant look in his eyes that I've noticed over the last month or two has definitely been getting more pronounced, and I find it really, really creepy. I've seen that vacant look in people with more advanced cases of dementia, so it's just weird to me to see that emptiness in someone who is still functioning at the level he's functioning.
