Yes. I try to keep this in mind!
Problem may partially stem from my mother being "the smartest person i know" as i was told by literally 100 people over my life (jeopardy level smart).
Which, in turn, has made messaging to me comprised of adjectives like "bright", "articulate" etc. Am a bit of dull blade right now. Keys lost, yep. Know what they do though, check.
