1. There is nothing wrong with being Chinese

you are who you are.

But, seriously, when it comes to buying Chinese made crap, I much prefer homemade goods by local artisans. That can get expensive or difficult to find, often, and I'm certainly not a purist. I'm sure I have some mass produced crap in my household. But, I do the best I can.
