In reply to the discussion: If alleged 'poll watcher' impedes you at the polls... [View all]No Vested Interest
(5,157 posts)69. I question the exerpertise of those who would make such a decision.
I hope (and presume) you were permitted to vote.
Same situation in my family; because of a stroke, family member now quasi-prints name rather than cursive writing. She votes absentee, and application has been accepted at Board of Election, and I have no reason to believe her ballot would not be accepted.
In Hamilton County, Ohio, I recommend contacting Caleb Faux, member of Board of Election and former director of same, online with any questions/doubts.

Trump's army of poll watchers probably won't be certified by the county either

Yes. You can even legally make the photo you describe. However polls may have 100 foot boundaries

Hey, sure, I just needed to pushback quickly about any notion of Texas not allowing photos

Yes, regardless of rights, it is still best to notify the official in charge of the polling location

Well if anyone outside the polling site, they would not be considered a poll watcher

Rules for poll watchers vary from state to state (I've served as one in Pennsylvania).

Even better; I've already voted "absentee." Too late for Trump's terror brigades to mess with me.

I think what you report was done here is questionable legally and ethically.

How much of this is affected by the expiration of the 1982 consent decree?

Do NOT call the FBI. Call the local cops. The FBI is NOT going to respond to a civil call

The chance this husky 53 year old white wearing jeans and boot being challenged is slim to none.
