In reply to the discussion: 27 hours after my flu shot and my arm [View all]Moral Compass
(1,513 posts)20. Worse
I took the high dose and within 6 hours my right shoulder was swollen, red, and very sore. I also ran a fever that started at 101.1 that night. Next day my average temp ran right at 102. Roughly 48 hours later I hit 103.1.
But i didnt have the flu. No cough, no lung congestion. However, I had fever, chills, body aches. My bodys immune system to responded to the dead virus.
Took 5 days before I stopped running any fever.
Be glad you got off with a sore arm.
Did you get the stronger senior version?

Shingles is a lot worse than the shot. You should get it. And, yes it hurts for a few days.
