(32,017 posts)All my instincts say were looking at a Biden/Harris landslide and liberal government in 2021. It will be a challenge to eliminate the filibuster, but it can be done if President Biden and Vice President Harris commit to it and TWIST all the necessary arms to make it happenLBJ-style. Expanding the SCOTUS is a little tougher, but it can be done because it makes sensethe SCOTUS has too few judges to deal with its current caseload, and it would de-politicize the Court if it were expanded. A vacancy on a 21-member Court would not create the kind of political crisis that we now see when the Court has a single vacancy.
Give me those two things and the United States will soon make a huge, liberal leap toward achieving its declared destiny ... a land of freedom with liberty and justice FOR ALL (including economic justice).
