"Just how many of us would you like to see dead?" is unlikely to change anyone's mind. In fact it is more likely to make some who may be open to suggestion to double down to "win the fight".

If she lashes back at you about that line I would just say something like "yeah it was a bit hyperbolic I didn't mean it literally but we all should stay home to keep everyone safe".
