105. I resent ageism too.
Sun Sep 30, 2012, 05:03 AM
Sep 2012

in 2004, I first had my board name, it was for Bob Graham, Sen/Gov of Florida and was my choice for VP (as he was in 2000).
Yet constantly on the original Kerry board at that time, everyone said he was far too old, too ugly, etc. (and not beautiful looking like John Edwards was, what a joke)

And now, I hear it again when people talk AGAINST Hillary 45 Clinton for 2016
saying she is too old. she has lines on her face

Give me a freakin' break.

(Yet no one says anything about Eliz. Warren's age and the two are just a few months apart age wise).

Does anyone comment on Botox forehead Mitt Romney being the same age?

Age and beauty have nothing to do with anything. And should not be discussed on a political board.

sheesh...thank God that FDR lived in a time when vapidness did not rule nationwide, or the master race philosophy was not around. Because he never would have been able to achieve the Presidency because he was handicapped, something that never came into the picture as it did not stop him from being the single greatest modern day president.

So I too resent ageism, sexism, any type of ism at all (except when talking about raw number statistical demographics that do tell a story).

And btw, since when is age a bad thing? Youth is great, but wouldn't it be great if in 25 years from now, we would be able to elect Barack Obama to some more terms and have his few decade more wisdom? (Much like the great Jerry Brown in California is back and better than ever). Doesn't Bill Clinton look and act so much better now in older age? Same with Jimmy Carter.
With age comes even more wisdom.

(btw-did anyone complain about the age or look when she took office of the legendary Golda Meir?)

As for Ms. Romney, I don't know her, I have seen that Mitt has not been overly nice to her from what I can see, but I know next to nothing about her(Morman men seem to treat the woman as second class citizens as if it were 1850 from what I have seen of Mitt and his treatment of her)so I can't comment on her whatsoever, as I don't know her except I know she is mega rich and seems not to understand anyone who isn't entitled like she is.
I do see the polls where President Obama creams Mitt in the woman's vote, 51 to 37 in the last poll, so women don't seem to have a very good liking of Mitt Romney do they?

I would say though she is the type that puts those so uncomfortable plastic protectors over a couch or chair, so riff raff doesn't soil her seats. (making the chairs/sofas impossible to be comfortable in).
