You're right that even a very good Constitution can simply be ignored, but the tipping point where the system breaks down can be made tougher to reach.

It's too bad that this is largely a moot point since we're nowhere near to votes we'd need in Congress or in state legislatures to change much.

One slim hope I'd have is that constitutional amendments to improve oversight of the executive branch, and the independence of the Justice Department, could be accomplished if Democrats support them, and Republicans can be convinced to look at such changes in terms of the short-term benefit of limiting Biden's power.
