I can't imagine how heartbroken you must be right now.

My parents, who are 78 and 81 are traveling for the holidays to my sister's home and then my brother's in two different states are taking a risk, especially since my dad had heart surgery this summer and I am preparing myself for the possibility that they may be exposed to Covid and not make it. It will crush me, especially my dad, so I can imagine a little bit about how you must feel.

Even though we can't hang on to them forever, it is never easy. At some point, unless we pre-decease them, we will have to face it. However it it still excruciatingly painful. I am sure it is for you and it will be for me. I wish you all the best and I wish your mom a peaceful transition. I hope you have family and support to get you through this.
