(787 posts)I do not personally use twitter or facebook. However, my wife uses both and posts when we go to dinner or to friends or other places (obviously pre covid times which I miss). Just because I think its odd for me to publicly broadcast things that are happening around me using twitter and facebook, this is me. I can not say that my wife would not use social media if she was locked in place. That is the point, you might think its odd but unless there is actually more than someone saying where they personally are during an attack and that they removed the most important person in the room who is running the hearing does not mean much without more. They all wee playing with fire, that is the problem, not this without more
I seem to have memories of tv reporting real time of one of the school shootings, the TV reporter was talking to a teacher who was real time saying she was locked in a classroom with students. The newsman was asking if they could get out and other reasonable questions about what was going on inside which this teacher had little info but the teacher was clearly not giving instructions to the shooters by telling the newsman that she was locked in her classroom with other students.
So because of the 1776 post, I would definitely have people look at this representative. However, mostly I just dont want us to jump ahead of evidence and focus on the real problems with the riot and attack and not read into a tweet saying they removed the head of the congress from the chamber as directing the riot when that was widely being reported real time.
