He was the linchpin on the inside, the one out of all the wonderful Capitol police, who just happened to be covering the hallway that turned out to be so incredibly important. The other officers who shepherded people to safety and provided cover for the Congressmen running out are also to be highly commended, not to mention those outside.

Watching and listening to the video evidence today was just brutal. I teared up many times today. I didn't cry, but I just feel so sore and wounded inside. Anyone, anyone who was watching and listening today and remains unmoved is not normal.

For trump and Repubs, today was "a feast of shame" indeed.
