3. THE ROMANS murdered Jesus Christ.

The eleventh chapter of the Gospel of John describes in detail how the Jewish leadership was TERRIFIED into cooperating with their BRUTAL ROMAN CONQUERORS in the arrest and conviction of Jesus. The Jewish leaders held a meeting, talking over their fear that the Roman army would sweep into their country committing destruction and mass murder. The writer of that gospel backs up the Jewish leaders in their assessment of the Roman penchant for seizing on flimsy excuses to launch genocidal massacres.

Fritz Berggren and his christofascist cohorts would know this, if they had ever actually read the entire New Testament. Apparently, they only pass around a few verses taken out of context to justify a pre-existing antipathy which has other roots.

Note: I do not in any way mean to imply that modern Romans should in any way be blamed or punished for what the ancient Romans did. Fritz Berggren has no excuse for blaming modern Jews for anything that was done back then.
