I'm saying what the auspices are ... offering food and drink is a 'bribe' to show up to vote. That's their bullshit story.

Next I expect them to ban 'any roof' to be present above where people standing in line, and that sharing an umbrella is a felony. Also, using a hand fan on anybody but yourself is a felony.

After that, they'll say children under 18 are not allowed with 1000 yards of a polling location (because poorer folks are more likely to need to bring the kids to the polling place).
