When you have the time, go on to the FBI website and take the time to review carefully all the pictures that they are seeking information and tips on. If you see your brother or someone else you know and identify, then follow the instructions given for providing tips. If you dont see him or anyone else you can identify, then you have done your civic and ethical duty - the rest is up to the FBI.
If after that you are not feeling that you did enough, then contact some of the groups like Capital hill hunters or bellingcat that are following and tracking leads and clues and if they find something are turning it over to the FBI and DOJ. If there is something illegal that they link him to and want to charge your brother, that is then for them to pursue and not your responsibility. If they need to have you as a witness or verify something later at any trial or legal proceedings- you will be contacted - which you would have been anyway even if you did nothing and he was identified through separate investigations leading to him.
I believe that anyone who participated in this event needs to be identified and charged if they did commit an illegal act that day, regardless of how minor they may think it was. It was an insurrection and attempt to stop the vote of the people. It was violent and desecrated the Peoples house. People were violently injured and people died. That cannot be allowed to become somehow normalized and a blind eye turned away.
No shame in having a family member that does something heinous like that - no judgment on you. The same goes for following what I suggested above and letting investigators and justice system determine what is best. No shame or judgment on you there either.
