I'm enough of a skeptic to wonder whether it will really make a difference. Cops kept killing black people even after Chauvin and the others were arrested, and even at an apparently higher rate. It seemed like despite a whole summer of high-profile mass protests it kept happening over and over. I think long-lasting change will require an entirely different way of thinking about policing, not to mention weeding out the racists, and this will take a very long time.
