2. Cancel culture is yet another right wing invention

One thing that I've noticed with right-wing thinking: they cannot ever admit that they MAY be wrong. When they say or do something that may be offensive to others, they did no wrong. Instead, the other person was just too insensitive, or, when it becomes prevalent enough, is practicing cancel culture. They take no responsibility for their actions, show no remorse. The very notion that they are obnoxious is something they take pride in. When they are held to account, they have to find an enemy to blame, because, by their lights, they are only doing what they have every right to do.

This has always been true to some extent, but I think it has become worse in the last four years because it was the behavior that the Former Guy exhibited daily. He encouraged and normalized what was essentially anti-social personality disorder, which is what this mindset is. You see it often in criminals, who justify their actions as "fighting the Man", without ever really taking into account that they are a part of the system too.
